Emmel, I got mad with Home Despot on a return, paid cash for an item, lost the receipt and they would only give me a store credit card, it was a small amount that they are authorized to give cash, they just wouldn't, SO, I told them I would never shop there again if I had a choice.
I am a man of my word.
I figure I have cost them 3 or 4 grand, so far.
Just stubborn and bull headed, but, I yam what I yam........

The strap will work, however, you don't have to have all locking casters. On most wheeled furniture one or two will do the trick. Your strap idea looks easier, however.

It's a great idea Ozz. I for one, do not like to tug on those heavy chairs and neither does my Navigator. Alas, I can't see the pics you posted. The site is shown but no pictures from you. I would love to see how the casters are mounted so I can give mine the update. We're heading south in two weeks,(not soon enough for me) and it will gimme somethin' to do. Good job!
Giddyup!

Try this URL. It was at the very bottom of Ozz's thread. It is all of his pictures. The chair fix is at the bottom of the pictures, page 6.

Those chairs are heavier than they look! I was amused when the young fellow at the dealer mentioned the chairs were very light and you could place the one by the slide upside down in the one by the door. Then, he proceeds to grab it and is going to show us. Apparently he hadn't latched on to one of the rocker/recliners before. He decided it would be best left where it was intended to be. So, I will be looking for some casters, as DW has a time moving them around. Many thanks Ozz for sharing your ideas.

Will, you are welcome. I have got many ideas from other Monte owners, maybe I just document them better.
I would think no idea is original, I'm sure some readers look at my Mod's and say-"I did that long ago"
I don't want to give the impression all these ideas are mine, some, but not most.
Ozz
On the casters, get the dual wheel shaft mount 50# ones from lowe's. They have dual wheel 30#, I think.

Thank you Ozz
I've been shoving and yanking those chairs for four years and knew there had to be a better way, just waiting for a guy like you to show me the way, not only with the pictures but with a material list.
Thanks again for a good winter project.

Thanks Jon and Jo Ann.
I am working on a hold down system for the road, any of you out there feel free to add yours.
I am now, with Sue's input, thinking of removing the rear chrome floor bracket, moving it over to the wall, and strapping from one bracker to the other, over the chair arm maybe. Trying to make it simple and quick for the moves. I'll post pictures.

...and now there is a special website that has Ozz's modificatons!!
Had a nice visit and lookee-loo with Ozz and Sue at Lake Havasu, and everyone should know that he is a genius when it comes to those modifications, whether they are someone elses ideas or not. He has the ability to see the problem, resolve the problem and document the results so US laypeople know what he is talking about.
Everyone should know that some of that inspiration probably comes from Sue, and Ozz does a great job of keeping her happy.. (You should see the beautiful lighting he put in the kitchen for her)!
Ozz, how about quitting your day job and work for us MOC'ers?
Ozz and Sue, thank you for the inspiration. Looking forward to seeing you again soon...we'll be back in AZ next month.

Thanks for the glowing reviews, we have missed you around here, you promised that you would return quickly......
Rich and Helen should be here tomorrow or the next day. We will all get together with Snfexpress; Michael and Kathy and terrorize the town here!
Thanks for popping up on the Forum. Stay safe.
