Glide Ride

I recently read an articile in RV Lifestyle in Canada about a new 5th wheel attachement to smooth out the towing of a fifth wheel. According to the article this new part was noticeable diference when towing the trailer. The part is called Glide Ride by Damco which is the front attachment on the 5th wheel that replaces the existing part. Has anyone purchased this item, and what is your opinion how the 5th wheel tows with this new attachment?

We have the Glide Ride and notice a big difference in the ride, very few moving parts. The steel is of a heavier gage then the original pin box, but all of the easy ride pin box's will help. Just don't know about the other one's.Larry & LaVonne

I read the same article and found it quite interesting, it can be found on the web at: http://www.rvlifemag.com/file351/hitchhints351.html

I know the author slightly, he runs a large RV dealership near London, Ontario. His dealership specializes in setting up passenger cars to tow Airstreams, but they also sell Sunnybrooks and I think HitchHikers. He is very knowledgeable on the technical aspects of of vehicle and tire set ups for towing.
