Exterior furnace cover/screen
OK. I feel like a moron. Sometime today during my trip across I-10 from Houston to Junction, TX, I lost my screen that covers the outside opening on my furnace. Early on, I had a mud dauber screen put on by the dealership. I think it was held on by small springs. Now everything is gone over the opening in the panel cover. What do I need? I assume moisture can get into the opening anyway, as a screen wouldn't keep moisture out. But I don't want the opening into the furnace so that birds, insects, etc. can get in. Help!!

Steve-- Don't know where you purchased your Big Sky but your dealer can order a new door for you if you lost the whole door, if not, most dealers and or Camping World carry the screens for your door. You may have to have the door painted so it will match the rest of your unit but that can be done by the dealer or a good auto paint shop.
I see you are from Missouri so I'd like to extend an invitation to you and the wife to join us at the Central Plains Regional Rally(CPRR) to be held in June up here in Nebraska. It's a good chance to meet some of your fellow MOC members and join in for us to show you some of our Nebraska hospitality. If you have any questions, drop me an email or PM me and I'll try and help as much as I can.

I modified my screen and installed it on the inside of the WH cover.

Mine came off while parked for some reason. I had a difficult time getting it back on. Someone on this site said the screen comes with a tool to hook the two springs to the furnace cover as you push the tool through the screen. As best as I remember, I made one and it was a lot easier to install. The real answer is installing one on the inside of the cover!
