IQ4 smart controller

This unit is great. My Montana has been plugged in to shore power ever since I got it 14 months ago. I intalled my IQ4 about 8 months ago and I checked my two batteries yesterday. The did not even need water added so the IQ4 works as advertised. Also I have charged the batteries with my generator while on the road and they charge up fast. Here is a link to this great plug and play gizmo.

Don,
This sounds great, especially for boon docking with a generator. How does the unit install?

Same here...works great.

It plugs in to the converter with a phone type jack that comes with it.

If anyone is thinking about getting one of these they might wait a little while. There is a new version of it (pictured on their web site). It is housed in a black plastic case and has an led on it which shows the different charge rates by the number of flashes. Apparently they were a little premature in posting the picture.

I may have the updated version, here is a picture of mine. I just drilled a hole in the overhead and threaded the wire down and stuck it where I could see it.

Mine is a Parallax 55, couldn't find any mention of it on the Iota web site. Must be made by Parallax.

Let me rephrase my question - is the stock converter that is standard on the Montana made by Iota? I really should read my questions before posting

Probably, but I can't be sure. You would almost have to put eyes on it.
