The wanderer returns

We have just completed a 7,600 mile tour which included 29 states. We started in April 2009 to travel through the western seven states. We took a 14 month pause in Washington state to enjoy working in a church. Beginning in October 2010, we traversed across the USA to North Carolina, visiting 15 states along the way. Finally, we turned toward central Texas, our home base, arriving on December 10, 2010.

Our 2008 Big Sky performed very well, even though it was not entirely free of troubles. There was a plumbing leak to be fixed. It made hooking up, leveling and unhooking sooooo much easier when we replaced the standard landing legs with the LevelUp system from lippert. The G614's wore evenly. I will replace them before we take another long trip because they are approaching 4 years old. Sixty thousand miles on my truck means those tires will be replaced also. Being parked in one spot is cheaper than traveling.

I thoroughly enjoy full timing in the Big Sky. I find very little that troubles me about it (Norcold recall is one of the exceptions). However, we may be coming to the end of the trail. We may only have a couple of trips left in us. Dianna's health and travel comfort is deteriorating. We will probably make a trip to Fort Collins, Colorado to see a physician there and see what comes of it.

As someone has said, "We have reached the stage of life when things are taken away rather than being added."

Stiles,
It was great meeting you and Diana. And we are sorry to hear that Diana is having health issues. We hope that she improves and you folks are able to get out on the road again. Best wishes to you both.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
