No both ferrys were ok, maybe tight if there were more cars on board.

By the way this was the ferry from CEDAR ISLAND to CAPE HATTERAS Island

$45.00 and a 2-1/2 hour ride

Did you have to back your rig into that spot or did you drive straight into it? I hope you didn't have to drive it around the ship. I think that would be too sharp a turn to make with the 5th wheel.

No just drive on and drive stright off, ship too small to turn around in. You should try it sometime it's different

We did take a ferry this summer for the first time. It was just a short trip of about 30 minutes duration. This was from Port Townsend, WA out to an island that would cut off about 4 hours of driving. We just drove straight on and off. Your trip looks a lot longer than ours.

Were you able to stay in your rig?

No we got on deck and was sitting higher so we could see better..plus
they had coffee inside
