Carlisle F series tires

Came across a Carlisle trailer radial tire load range F. Odd. Its an ST235/85R16 12 ply with a load range of 3,960lbs @ 95psi.

Might be an alternative to the Goodyear G.

Anybody looked into these?

(swear I posted this a few minutes ago - just cant' find it).

I would be interested in this tire also.....I like the weight rating and the fact you get that with 95 psi.....

When I hear "Carlisle tire" I shudder. Sorry, but from my past experience with them, it is going to take a lot to convince me it is a good tire. Only my opinion.

Back in 2005 when we had a HiLo trailer their user group talked about Carlisle tires the way we talk about Mission tires.

Well, Ironically I just talked to thier listed distributer here and he steered me away from them as well. That really says something.

Carlisle answered an email I sent them, confirming these new F tires are also China made tires along with the rest of thier ST tires.

Bad idea maybe

I am NOT a Carlilse tire fan either. I do sell some of them for ATV's and lawn mowers, but I too would suggest steering clear of them.

Hi Bradley,

Thank you for your interest in Carlisle Tire & Wheel Co. The tire you are inquiring about is manufactured in China. I hope this helps and let me know if you have more questions

Thank You

I have to agree with the majority of opinions and stay away from Carlisle. I have gone through a set of 5 carlisles (load range C) in less than 3000 miles and less than 2 years. I installed the brand new spare after a blowout and it blew out before I got home. It's Goodyear's or Maxxis for my money.

One set of Carlisles was enough for me...Never again. They are the tires you buy when you have no other choice and the next tire dealer is 300 miles away.

Lonnie B, being the tire guru on the site, what would you recommend as your choice of say three tires for our Montanas.

Maybe for the 3400 and the 3200 series and the big sky?

Many thanks
