Kitchen sink

Wife just said that on our 2955RL she would like a back splash on the sink and also said she does not care much for the hi water spigot.

I am constantly wiping up water on the floor beyond the sink from it splashing over so I try not to fill the sink that full. The high faucet is wonderful for filling up pans and such that are large. We have a big pan that doesn't fit into the sink so you have to set it on top and I could never get water in it if I didn't have the high faucet. It's all personal preference but with the high faucet, it's more accessable in my opinion.

I think the backsplash is a good idea. I don't much care for the faucet either. We had just replaced ours in our previous 5th wheel with a sprayer arm and liked it a lot. The sinks in mine are extra deep because they are all one piece with the countertop and I do not need the high faucet to fill a pan, so we will be changing that as soon as we get a chance.

We'd also like to have the backsplash. Just a little one is all it would take. Sounds like a project to put on my long list of things to do.

Sorry, but I don't recall who -

Someone posted a web page of improvements made to his Montana a while back. It had things like replacing the thermostate with a digital one, etc. with detailed directions.

The best improvement was replacing the dinky toy kitchen faucet that comes with RV's with a new residential one from Lowes that has a pull-out spray head. Mary saw that and went right out and bought it (about $60). She made me instal it the next trip. She absolutely loves it, and does not feel she needs a back splash anymore.!

Sorry I don't recall the original source to give them credit (and refer you to their directions). Maybe someone here can help.

Lamar, that is a fantastic site. The person has taken a lot of time to use pictures and instruction. I have a question. Why the sewer pump? Whats wrong with just gravity a dumping? Jerry1936

Jerry1936,

I plan to use a 2" sewer drain that is about 25 feet from where I park my TT at home. The sewer pump will allow me to connect to the small diameter drain and the 1.5" hose on the pump is easier to deal with than the 3" flexible sewer hose that you would normally use.

Thanks for the kind words about my website. Playing with these RVs is a lot of fun.

Fulltimedreamer.... thanks for the website. A picture is worth 1000 words and I think even my husband can do a couple of those projects! Your instructions are simple and clear....
