Generator Exhaust distence from RV wall

Anyone know of any regulation that governs the distence the gennys exhaust pipe outlet should be away from any open area in RV walls. I'm hearing 5 feet? I know some places require the exhaust stack to be used in close quarters. Thank you, you will help alot, it's hard to find the regulation.
