refrigerator working on gas only help

hi everone out there I am new at this and am looking for some help.
a while back we were going to take a trip, when we check the refrigertor which is a dometic rm 2862 and we found that it would only work on lp and not elec.
we also checked the tvs ( which we have two) and the micowave and they were not working.
The only thing i can think of is that we had a power surge here at my home where i had it pluged
MY quisten is why will it work on lp and not elect.

The fridge is designed to work with lp and a 12 volt supply. When it is switched to 120 AC, it uses a resistance heater to supply heat for the boiler.

Have you checked your breakers in the distribution panel? If those are OK, you might take a VOM and check voltage on the receptacles. Also, check the GFCI receptacle to see if it is tripped.

In my Model (Mountaineer 326RLS) the Refrigerator and Microwave share the same Circuit, Keystone uses very inexpensive Half Sized Breakers for most of these Circuits, It is possible that they have failed, but I would certainly check that they are not just in a "Tripped" Mode.

Or the GFI on the kitchen circuit has tripped.

I'm new to this also but I have already had a similar experience. We were plugged in by our shop and found the breaker was tripped in the shop.
