Repaired the sag in the screen door and took out the sweep
Most of you have seen the pics of the MorRyde steps that I installed. Some like me have a slight problem with the door sweep on the screen door causing the door to stick in the closed position as their is too much sweep material under the door. My solution was to take out the sweep and then realign the door as the latch side of it was dragging the threshold. This was even before the steps. If you remember, I made the storm door with plexiglass so we can leave the door open with the heat or AC on. The added weight of the plexiglass and the occasional tug on the door when getting in has caused door to sag a bit, thereby dragging on the latch side. So, I took down the door(6 screws, 2 on each of the hinges) and laid the door down. To take out the sweep, there are two screws on the side of the door at the very bottom which need to come out. Then pull down on the plastic pieces of the corners and the bottom of the door will come off. Once off, you will notice two small screws on the bottom of the piece you took off. Take one of them out and then pull the corner piece out of the bottom rail of the door. You may need a pair of pliers to grip it, be forceful but careful. The plastic corner piece will come out and the sweep will slide right out. The reassemble in reverse order.
Now to repair the sag. These doors are an aluminum U shaped upper frame and cross pieces so they are easily bent if even a child pulls down on them. For you older guys/gals, you may remember your parents or grandparents homes having a turnbuckle on the screen door to keep it from sagging. Well, that's what I did. I did not have a commercial one nearby, so I made one with picture hangers, 10 foot of 1/16" cable, a turnbuckle and some 1/16" ferrules. I also used #8/32 1 1/4" panhead machine screws and nylon lock nuts. I didn't want the turnbuckle up in the door way, so I chose to put it down low, on the bottom half of the door. The only thing that I didn't get done was painting the things I put on as the rain got here quicker than anticipated. Once the wire and buckle are painted black, you will hardly ever notice it. Once back in the rig, the screen/storm door opens freely and no more sagging.

Good write up to help others with similar problems. What thickness of plexiglass did you install, and do you have any photos of that installed?

I used 1/8" thick plexiglass. Here is a write up of it.

Here is a different view of the door. 3/4" Industrial Velcro and a Ryobi roto zip tool along with the Optix and she is done.
