What are you paying for install of your Sailuns?

Was wondering what all of you are paying for mounting and balancing of your Sailuns when shipped to your installer? I checked with Firestone, and they said $20 per tire. I don't know whether that included disposal of old tires and shop supplies.

With as many of you who are buying Sailun tires for your rig I thought there would be better response on what you are paying your tire shops to install them.

If I am not mistaken, Mine cost $127+$35 to mount and road force balance. $648 total. Surprisingly, a local tire place had them in stock.

I just got a quote from BigO. They want $847.56 for 4. That's tax and everything. Seems higher than what others are posting.

I bought my Sailuns from Big O in Rock Springs, WY last summer. They were $160.99 apiece including mounting and balancing (lug centric). The FET and Sales Tax took it to just over $700 out the door. I was on the road and didn't have time to shop around. The price did seem reasonable to me though given my situation. Now seeing SimpleTire selling them for $120 - $150 including FET and Sales Tax ensures I will replace mine with Sailuns from them when the time comes.

If I'm not mistaken at Discount Tire here in the DFW area I paid just under $20 mount and balance and new steel stems. Call Discount and ask them.

Sailuns

I have never heard anything about Sailuns tires. From reading your comments, it sounds like they are popular for RV’s.

Would someone please tell me why Sailuns tires are so good. Thanks!!

They last and do not go boom. And they are cheap.

I have been watching folks using these tires for the last 3 yrs. Not a single reported failure. 1/3 the cost of the goodyear G614, sort of gold standard trailer tire.

I had Costco switch mine , $17 per tire which included balancing and nitrogen fill. Bolt in metal valve stems were $8-10 each, not sure on the valve stems.

We got ours in Calgary, AB on our way home from a two month trip. We paid (Canadian) $175.73 per tire and $20.60 for installation on our new Sailuns.

Paid $20 per tire for mount and balance - kept the old tires for a utility trailer. Sailun's were $140. each (2 years ago)

At National Tire and Battery

I paid $210 to have four mounted and balanced. It was very high by comparison to other posters' costs. I had my local diesel shop do it as they were partnered with simpletire.com. It took them about 1-1/2 hours even using the lug-centric adapter, because they couldn't get them balanced with metal weights. I paid for the beads and that jacked up the price. Still, I'm completely satisfied with Sailuns.
