Fridge making fan noise

Our new to us 2014 3150rl is getting closer to its first short trip. First time we fired up fridge for more than a short period and i’m Getting a hum, whine from the fan in the back of the fridge. Anybody else having this issue? I’m going to try blowing it out tomorrow. No way to oil it without taking out fridge. Any suggestions?.

It's not likely you could oil it even if you removed it. Normally they are sealed units.

We have a Dometic 4door. Three computer fans kick in and out to push heat. When they kick in, does make a loud hum. Normal.

We have a 2016 3582RL and it had fan noise and on occasion would quit cooling. Dealer always said nothing was wrong but when we took it to the 2017 fall rally the techs found that there is a baffle on the top of the frig and it was never attached so it would fall down so there was no cooling. Now no noise and had to turn the frig control down from a 5 to a 3. Dealer did not know there was even a baffle.

The Norcold fride fans are fairly accessable once you cut a big chunk out of that baffle which I just did. That baffle has to be there for proper cooling air flow. My repair is a 12x18 piece of 26 ga galvanized steel cut to size (Home Depot ~$5.00) along with some #8x3/8 sheet metal screw to hold it in place.

Experience with a Dometic on a SOB - not so goo as those fans were out of reach unless the fridge was pulled. I cut the wiring, installed an adjustable temp switch and added 3 fans on a bracket at the upper vent.

The fans a for all intent, common 12VDC computer fans. I've just added two 120 mm low noise fluid dynamic fans, controlled by an adjustable snap thermal switch (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1)
