Anyone suffer withdrawal on return home?

Just filling in time until we head south in a couple of weeks. Thought I'd ask a silly question. Does anyone suffer from withdrawal when they return home in the spring after spending months in such friendly, warm, scenic locations - Florida, California, Texas, Arizona, (Mexico). On a scale from 1 to ten. Who'd of thought that going home would be depressing

Anyone yet to leave, have a safe journey. All those already there, hope you're having a good time

Can't say either Camilla or I went into withdrawal when we left our seasonal site in Maine to return home to Florida, but we were both anxious to return "home" to Florida...now, we are just as anxious to return to Maine. Guess we don't suffer from withdrawal...must be split personality disorder! Anyway, we wish you both a safe trip south.

I would say we do not have withdrawal when we get home from winter away. We usually have a LOT to do and planned. Spring fishing, grandkids, doctors, dentist, outside clean up of house, unpack 5er, cleaning and maint. of 5er, other camping trips, the list seems endless. Usually takes a month or two.
We do get restless this time of year when we are getting ready to go south. I get restless to go anywhere after we catch up on what needs to be done at home.

Actually no because we are able to enjoy the best of both seasons and areas. Northern Ohio in the spring and summer and Florida or the SW in the fall and winter.

I suffer it bad, Tana withdrawal. Al does not. I never want to come home, he usually gets anxious about the time the grass starts growing at the stick (April). This year we hired someone to cut that grass.

What with Skype, I don't miss the granddaughters tooooooo much. The other day I Skyped with one, helping her with her homework, a family history project.

I suffer from withdrawals every time we return home from any trip. I could stay out for ever but Kathy likes to get back home to the stick house and she's the boss.

I'm like Rich. We don't longtime, but I have a downer every time we get home. I don't know if it's because we're home, or because I have to unpack, clean, and park the 5er. It looks so dejected sitting out back behind the workshop!

We look forward to leaving home in the fall when the temperature starts dropping. In the spring we look forward to going home because it is getting to hot in the South West.

We don't ever have a problem missing home or having withdrawals. It so happens that we are at home anywhere we are at. We are now fulltimers. So I now live in Anywhere USA.............and having the time of my life I must add

But we will also return to MI in May for the summer and stay at the lake and we are looking forward to that.

We always look forward to leaving home for 6 months and going to warmer places. We also, always look forward to returning home in the Spring. We live in a vacation area and love it there, but it's sooo cold during the Winter! We too, feel we have the best of both worlds!

Always look forward to hitting the road. We spend about 50 nights a year on the road. Never depressed about returning home but we are almost always planning our next trip before we even make it home.

Now we do get antsy when we know it will be a while before we can get back on the road. Take this weekend for example. We have been home 2 months now since our last trip. I took the truck out the other night to run it some since it has been sitting for 2 months. I did come home and proclaim I was ready to hit the road, but work keeps getting in the way. Hopefully will make it to Florida in the spring for a week or two.

As many know, we are only weekenders and vacationers, but I have to admit that I really like being in the rig. Then, of course, I really like being at home as well. I enjoy all types of weather, yes even blustery, cold snowy days, and yes, even scorching, hot days. I really don't think I have ever been what I would consider depressed, since I just enjoy the fact that I have been provided another day, wherever I am and whatever I am doing. The "bonus" day philosophy, tends to reinforce that on a daily basis. Count your blessings each and every day, be thankful for another "bonus" day that you are provided with, and you will discover and realize, that there is never really anything to be depressed over. Sorry for the soap-box type diatribe, but I really believe that our purpose should be to enjoy life, lift others, be thankful for what we have, and most of all, always realize that it can be taken away in the blink of an eye!! So in reply to the original question regarding the scale of 1 to ten, put me down for a ten, even though it was 8 degrees on the mountain this morning!!

Dave and Ivy,
We stay out, at the longest, about 2 to 3 months at a time. Since I would like to be on the road more I really have a hard time. So I am always pushing for more and longer trips.
Good luck, Dennis and Mary Kay
