slide

We have a 3475 RL. When the big slide is out, we notice movement in the floor when you step between the table and couch. Has anyone else experienced this? Service department tells us that some play in the slide floor is normal.

I posted in "Trouble with 3400RL" the same problem in my 08 3400. The factory told me to take it to the dealer to check it out. Search this site for "floor slides". I found some good fixes that were done like a sheet of 3/8 plywood under the carpet. I'm just hoping it's not a water leak. I am going to the dealer in a couple of weeks and will check back to tell you what they tell me. Do the same if you find anything before. Oh yea, Mine has a little more than some movement, it down right sags.

The floor movement is enough to make the chairs at the table move. We have numbers for Keystone if the service department does not prove satisfactory. So far, we've not had water issues (knock on wood!).

Don't know how much movement you are talking about but SOME give is a normal thing. Yes we can feel give on our super slide 3400) If you could go on a factory tour rand see the slides before they are installed you could understand why there is movement. They are sturdy....But..this is a RV and they hang out over the frame and there are no 2x4's under there...

I wouldn't expect any 2x4's, but something a little stronger would be nice. I have read a 3/8 piece of plywood does the trick. Maybe that would be a good place to start instead of a later fix. I have owned 8 rv's and never had this weak a floor. My last 5th wheel was a 2003 Montana 3575RL and it was solid as a rock.

i had this problem and the ply wood floor was broke. they put a 3/8 ply wood under the carpet. but it left me with a unlevel floor. i called team montana and the had me bring it to the factory and they took the slide out and put in a new floor. it is solid now and level.

I appreciate the comments and information. It sounds like someone has some work to do, either here at the service dept. or at Keystone.
