110V wall light
I bought a light from Lowes to replace our wall light between the dinette and the couch. When I replaced it I realized the new one does not have a switch on it. (Duh I knew that) Or I should say I didn't even think about that. So my question is can I take the switch off the old light and wire it to the new light? And if I can how do I wire it? as I didn't pay attention to the wiring when I took the old one off.

ALL of my lighting is 12V. I noticed yours is a 2011, did they have 120V lights?

It's crazy. Our 2012 has two ceiling lights on the large curb side slide. They look similar, but are slightly different, and one is a 12 volt, and the other is 120 volt. I would just make a hole in the new fixture that will accept the switch from the old light, and connect the switch to the hot wire going to the the center contact for the bulb, and then to the hot wire in the ceiling or wall. That is the proper way to connect any light fixture, so when the switch is off, there is no power to the bulb socket.

Mark All but two of my lights are 12volt also. The round one over the Dinette is 120v and the one between the Dinette and the Sofa is also 120v

I wish I had some switches by the darn door. If you close the door you have to stumble across the trailer to find a light switch.

Mark A, I wired in a remote on one of my 12v light fixtures. I leave the light switch on all the time and use the remote to turn the light on and off. Works great for when I'm out and return at night. I use it for going to bed and/or if need a light quickly when in bed, just hit the remote. I believe I got it from Amazon.
