Seriously, if you're getting off the interstate and going on other roads check before you go far. Flooding is the worst in Texas, followed by OK and even in the norther part of Kansas we have roads closed and under water.

True many many side roads in Texas are still closed as of today. We got another deluge yesterday which now hit Waco and points north, of course after it flooded Austin and central Texas. The interstates are all open this morning per the local news channel. There is an App to check low water crossing to see if they are open or not but dang I forgot it. If I see it on TV again I'll post it....

That FANCY new truck you just bought doesn't float either!! Stay where you are for another week and let it all drain and dry out there.

Definitely check ahead if you are planning to pass thru this area in the next couple of days. We had an additional 2 3/4" rain last night with more predicted tonight. Some areas received even more than that last night with flooding in low areas. News showing cars stuck on the highway in Dallas waiting for water to recede from low areas enough to get by. Some interstates have been closed temporarily at times as water has risen. And some secondary highways have had bridges washed out.

Has rained something like 24 out of the last 28 days. Long range forecast shows dry weather beginning Monday thru the rest of the week. First time in weeks it has not shown a chance of rain every day. Maybe we are finally seeing the end of it.
