Shower Head Slide Bar

Does anyone know how to get to the screws holding the slide bar in the shower? There seems to be a cap top and bottom. But how do you
get the caps off to get to the screws?? Any help would be appreciated.

Using a flat blade, such as a putty knife, insert between shower wall and plastic cap that covers the screws and gently pry to slide the cover away from the wall. I did this last year to replace the screws with stainless steel sheet metal screws. Got tired of the rust dripping on the wall.

Thanks rohrmann that is exactly why I need to get the cover off.
I also want to replace the screws with stainless. I too am tired
Of the rust. You would think they would have enough sense
To use stainless in the shower. Thanks again for the help.

While you are at it, look at the inside of the cover and drill a small hole on the bottom side in one or two spots to allow the water to drain off before it reachs the screws. That is what I did. John
