Grey water pouring from underbelly when opening
I have the remote grey and waste tank cables that control the valves in the convenience center.
It has been all I can do to open and close these valves since I bought the unit used several months ago. CW in Chattanooga said it was "normal".
Last Thursday I dumped all the tanks without a problem. Saturday morning I was going to dump the grey water only. When I finally got the valve pulled open, grey water poured from the underbelly and not from the drain. I haven't dropped the insulation to check it. It was still dripping water when I left Sunday afternoon. My concern is the waste water dumping on the ground, if I try to drain it.
Thoughts or suggestions, please.

Sorry that happened to you Bill, I think the first thing is to drop that panel and see what happened, I would guess the valve failed, thank goodness it was not the Black water tank. can't really do anything but guess without seeing the valve and piping.

Take your unit back to CW and tell them they are full of "Bull" when they said that is normal for the cables/rods to be hard to close and open. Then you can tell them they can fix the grey tank now that they are so sure the cables/rods work hard. Use some silicone spray on the cables/rods and possibly some on the valves themselves if you can get to them.
If it just grey water you should have no problem with it coming out on the ground but now if it was the black tank that would be another story! Let us know what you come up with!

You can make your cables easy to operate by using silicone spray. take the screw out of the handle for the grey tank, take the nut off the cable, remove the back of the convenience center, pull out the grey tank release cable from the back side of the center, slip a plastic tube over the cable, elevate this as high as you can, spray the silicone spray into the tube until it is full and let it sit for awhile. It should drain into the cable assembly and dissolve the rusty or sticking areas. Put handle back on and operate cable prior to putting it back into the appropriate hole in the center. Now do the other tank release the same way. IF you have a galley grey tank, more than likely that one will operate freely without treatment...at least that is the case with mine (handle in front of front wheel on street side). I HAD to put all my weight behind opening my black tank prior to this procedure...now I can just pull it with ease. John

If that is normal, then mine are abnormal. Mine pull very easy on my 2007. And I have never lubed them.

It was suggested to use a Thetford product Thetford Drain Valve Lubricant in a white plastic bottle at most CW's. IMHO I have not used this product. fyi to all.

Ozz is right you need to look. Based on the fact that the cable was hard to pull and the water came out of the under belly you should look to see if the valve has pulled loose from either the tank or the drain pipe leaving the valve or even possibly split the tank at that connection. Any of those, in addition to the valve itself breaking apart, would result in the water entering the underbelly.
