Kitchen tap (Maybe need new tap)(Update)

I can't get the kitchen tap to run if I have the bathroom taps on and when I shut it off the kitchen taps stop running HELP
I reduced the water pressure and the tap has not cut off since. When I am around an RV store I will pick up an adjustable pressure valve.

Have you checked the aerator screen in the kitchen faucet? It could be partially clogged with debris. If is clogged, remove all the screens and flush the lines. Bill

Those screens would be the first place I would look also.

We turn the tap on and it will run then the next time you turn it on we hear a click then the water stops flowing. This is the original tap.that sprays or straight flow.

I seem to remember (somewhat) that there was a flow restrictor installed in some of the kitchen faucets. Take the aerator off, and see if there is a plastic disc type obstruction behind it, remove it, reassemble the faucet and see if that is the problem. Memory (failing) serves me that the Moen faucets were the ones that had the flow limiter, worth a quick look-see that is relatively easy if you want to give it a try.

When is this happening? Is it using the water pump, or city connection? Bill

I had the same problem and found the thingy Bingo is talking about just moving around, blocking water whenever. Remove thingy under sink. Must find it in hose under sink.

Don, When there is no water at the faucet have you tried the sprayer. If the sprayer works but the spout doesn't it could be a bad divertor in the faucet itself. Identify the brand of faucet you have and look up the model on the manufactures website. Should be an exploded drawing showing the part you need. Most are available at local home repair stores. Jim

I have a brand new brushed bronze kitchen faucet/spryer. CW ordered me a new one because my original one leaked. I took it apart and tightened the internal gasket nut assembly. When CW informed me my replacement faucet was in I let them know I would install it myself if needed. They approved, so if someone needs a new kitchen faucet I have one I never used.
