2016 3160RL Furnace Issue

i can’t get my furnace to stay lit when connected to battery power only. It lights for a few seconds and then pops off. I can here the fan running fine and it appears to be getting gas. Gas stove and refrigerator work fine. If I plug into electricity it seems to do better but still isn’t solid. One thing I did notice is when I am plugged in and I try the furnace, the a/c vent fan also runs. Is that normal? Something is not right.. thanks for your help

It appears you have two distinct issues.

1. The heater only runs for a few seconds. In the Files section is a RV Furnace Troubleshooting PDF http://www.montanaowners.com/forums/...?do=file&id=11 Hopefully it will help you determine where the problem lies. Be aware there are lights on the furnace which may give you a clue of what is going on (or not).

2. The A/C fan running when the furnace comes on is a "feature" of some of the thermostats. Set the Fan to High, not Auto, and it will stop the A/C. You can do a Search here on "furnace A/C" (or such) to find previous discussions of the behavior.
