I GAVE BIRTH TO A 2006 3400RL!

it is official, i am now a proud owner of a new montana. i took delivery on the 30th of june and have already traveled 1,000 miles w/ it and am leaving today from south carolina to florida. this baby is a dream! i'm so happy w/ it and am looking forward to fulltiming for the next couple of years. so far no major probs except for the bedroom drawers opening while in tow and breaking the tracks they're on. but that's a warranty issue...no $ out of my pocket! i'll get a pic posted soon.

Congratulations! Your excitement comes through loud and clear!

On the bedroom drawers, your dealer may or may not fix them properly. Make sure the latches are adjusted so the springs on both sides are doing their job. The male part has to be exactly centered in the female part of you won't have both sides holding the latch. Easy adjustment.

Tim,
Glad to hear everything went well with the new 3400. How did things go with the height of your truck? Did you leave the lift on or remove it? Enjoy your new toy.

hey steve and mozell, i left the lift on. everything seems to be okay while towing. i'm not exactly level on the 5er, but have 6 3/4 inches of space between the bedrails and nose. if i could do it over again, definitely no lift, but live and learn, right?!

Sounds good timbuktu78! That's a little tight but within what "conventional wisdom" considers to be "enough" clearance. Just get in the habit of watching the bedrails in the nmirror when you go over a hump or dip you are not sure about. Glad to hear it worked out for you without modifying the truck.
