Talkin with the factory rep today
Went to the San Antonio RV show today. First of all love the new 3900 and the blue led's on the front are awesome. But was talking with another person bout Montana's and factory rep over heard us talking about the front graphics. He claims they come off because of driving down the hwy at 65 mph???? But anyways he claims they are still sending out graphics at no charge, just $450 to install them. Says he knows they just sent a set out the other day. Oh well just thought I would let y'all know what he said, but dang I love them blue led's on the front end.....lol lol Don't think Momma will let me trade for blue led's though.....Oh he did say after 08-09 they should not peel because the front has clear coat on it.....

Hogwash.
I have an '08 and the front decal looks like it has been through several haboobs around Phoenix. I have a gel coat but it is not over the decals.

I have an 09 and decals had to be replaced. The problem with peeling decals has not been resolved as far as I know.

We have a 10 and they look terrible. The front cap is still not gel coated as it has chalked up and faded real bad. I do wax it and do not use Awesome on it.
There are other Montanas here that are older and have a beautiful front cap and graphics.

Our 2010 is holding up pretty good, have not experienced the graphic problems we had with the previous units.

Not to rub it in, but reading all these decal problems I'm glad I went with hand painted graphics!!

How do they explain the advertising on delivery trucks that wrap all the way around them and last for 10 years and more?

He was just trying to reach for any reason at all to save face, kinda like a 6 yr old caught where they shouldn't be, yep just give me a minute and I'll think of something, anything but the truth. I may of helped him sell a rig anyways since I did talk to the folks looking and told them about this site and all in all its a pretty good buy.

Hi Folks, I have read many posts on here about the graphics wearing off on the Montanas! I don't understand why Keystone would not want their "Best selling for the last 10 or 11 yrs" graphics to look so bad after a short time, I mean isn't that the best advertisement to see a beautiful Montana with perfect graphics coming down the road at ya or parked in a CG somewhere? But I have come up with an idea that might be of some interest to you! If your graphics wear off and start looking bad, why not use that frontcap as a place to express yourself sort of like a Tattoo on your arm, keeping it clean of course! I think I might put a mural of my Grandkids or of my most favorite scenery from some of the pics during my travels on it, an American flag, a memorial to someone, etc... I am sure there are some starving artist out there that would do it for a reasonable price, just an idea!

Alot of it depends on the climate you live in too our old 2003 Big Sky Graphics look great untill the day we sold it but we live up here in the NW and it never gets that hot up here and the rain does not seem to affect them

This is why I drive over 65 MPH or a little under it. My graphics still look good!

LOL LOL yeah the people he was trying to swing a deal with were just buying it to sit on some land so he told them it would not peel since they were not going to tow it and travel lol lol.....I made sure to tell them it would not be towing it that would make them peel but it would be our Texas sun. To his credit he did not deny the old rigs peeled.

If only it were that simple. We live in north Texas where temps are frequently 102 and up from late June thru August and often down in mid teens during the winter. But we are one of the lucky ones where our graphics still look very good on our 2007 Monty.
And I do drive 65-70 when on the open highway.

We have had problems with ours, just the outside sections, let's be honest, the only reason Montana is on the front is for free advertising (wonder why there free?), the mountain looks great, but they could have omitted the front and it would look just fine, the Class A Buses have side graphics only, and rear, that nose section takes a beating

I have an early 2008. The graphics, mountain, started peeling the next year. I have removed the mountain and when the name gets a bit dodgier that will go too. I'm not buying new decals as they sound like they don't last either.
There is no reason for it except Keystone used foolishly [stupid] cheap material. I have decals on my boat that are over 15 yrs old and still look good except where they have been physically damaged so good decal material is available.
They would have been smarter to use less coverage but better material.
However, overall I'm happy with my trailer. It's not perfect but it does the job. Just to bad Keystone doesn't take more pride in their product.
And yes the side decals are showing signs of peeling also. They are just slower to peel than the cap since they do get less sun.
