2017 Holding Tank Sensors W/In-Command

Does anyone know what type of tank sensors would be used on a 2017 Montana 3921FB using the in-command system? There are some parameters to set in the controller and I don't know what the values should be.

Hey Wayne, can't think the tank sensors are worthless, especially the fresh water and the grey tanks. Our RV has 5 tanks, a fresh water tank, two grey tanks and two black tanks. The In Command control has programmable input parameters that should be configured to match the tank sensors however there is no one at Keystone who would give me the time of day so I had hoped maybe someone on this forum has been through this.

I have to agree with Wayne on the tank sensors with the exception of the fresh water. No matter what parameters you load faulty data from the senders makes them irrelevant. Not just a Keystone issue. I have seen the same on all RV's including the expensive class A's. Experience will tell you when tanks need emptied. I wouldn't spend my time pursuing this but it's your time use it as you wish.

The sensors on the waste water tanks are WORTHLESS!

If you want to read the resistance of each tank sensor... must be done with empty tanks.. remove wire from pin 7 and then each respective tank you want to measure total resistance of sensor on. These wires are located on the BCM

Do this with DC power disconnected. Use multi meter and measure resistance between wire 7 removed from BCM and each tank you want to measure .. removing its corresponding wire.

This will give you total resistance of the sensor in ohms and could be used as input value for tank sensor screen

This is of course assuming the sensors are clean ...

There might also be a tag on the lead going to each tank sensor indicating it’s resistance value ... if you could find it

Update, I got things dialed in and did some volume testing today with the stop watch on my cell phone and water hose and am liking what I have. Just using clean water for now but am thinking things will be fine!
