Spring is officially closer..........well, almost!

I happen to know this simply because we just made our initial reservations for the Montana de-winterizing that will be for 10 nights in April. Local campground (Foxfore KOA in Milton) for the week after Easter since that is the youngest daughter's Spring Break. I feel better now and the winter blues will soon be over, and yes I know that I have probably just invited a major winter storm to the hills by even thinking about this!! C'mon Spring!! Already made the summer reservations for the beach (9 nights at Pirateland in Myrtle Beach) and a few nights in Amish Country in June with Bill-N-Donna. Next up, taking care of the Thanksgiving reservations in Charleston, SC at James Island (MOC inspired choice, though we will greatly miss Topsail in Florida!!).

You are absolutely correct, Bingo! Spring is getting closer. The camping season at Twin Mills starts in about 10 weeks. I have an appointment on March 1st to take the Challenger in for brake inspection and adjusting, wheel bearings repacked and new 3500 lb springs with wet bolt kits and new EquaFlex equalizers to be installed. Then, I think she will be ready for anything we might plan for once the wife retires.

Bingo, I assume the Amish Country you're speaking of is in PA. How about the Rally in June there?? We have our reservation, would like to meet you and your Clan.

Unfortunately we will be going to Amish country in Ohio (a lot closer than the rally in Pa). It was a hard decision to bypass the rally in Pa. nonetheless we hope to enjoy the time in Ohio which will be the week after the Pa. rally. The dates did not match up with the youngest ones school schedule. School lets out the week of the NE rally and we had to make a call as to whether the school year would be extended for snow days. So for this year it looks like we are rally-less (is that a word?) since Nebraska is definitely too far. We will have to wait to see the schedules for next year. Hoping the wagonmasters take the school schedule into account for one of the rallies next year. We always enjoy meeting our extended family (the MOC) and will miss everyone this year.

Keep us advised of that trip.. Amish country is not far from us and we camp there often and know the C.G's and the country.

I asked in a previous post about the Northeast Rally. I found the thread about it. We will be at the campground over Memorial Day as this campground is one of our favorites that we visit a few times a year.

Rich,
We will be at Baylor Beach Campground near Navarre in June. Arriving the evening of June 14th and leaving the morning of the 19th. It will be our first time in the immediate area but Bill-N-Donna have stayed there before. We are planning one day for a day trip to Cedar Point with the daughters, probably Sunday the 17th since mostly everything is closed in the immediate area on Sunday's.

Rich,
You are welcome to join us as well as any other MOCers in the area who may be interested, we have the two full hook-up sites that face each other reserved. If not, maybe you and Helen can join us for a day and we can cookout or something? We will try to come up with an agenda for the places we are hoping to visit with Bill and Donna and let you know. I am sure we will have to have a R&R day in there as well to lounge around the campground.

We know that area well and we go down there once a summer as there are some bulk Amish stores that Helen likes to stock up on as well as a couple of wineries that we like. We shall see...

Bingo, word through the grapevine is that management at Topsail invited you not to return. Any truth to that rumor?
