Electrical question

I have a 2018 305 Montana High Country, I had this covered for the winter. Took the cover off, hooked up shore power, everything looked good, lights and everything electrical seemed to be fine. Went out today and nothing worked.
I have nothing working, there is power to a night light in the kitchen, and the clock on the microwave. I had a blown 15 amp fuze in the fuze box by the steps, which I have replaced, has not helped. Any suggestions where to look now?

It was plugged into 30 amp service. I forgot to mention that the ceiling fan also worked but nothing else. Nothing was on.

I second DQDick's comment. Night light and ceiling fan are 120V. Almost all other lights in unit are 12V.

Was the battery run down to zero while it was stored?

Okay, here is a run down, so please bare with me. Bought this 2018 305RL new at CW in 2017. Used it once, no problems. Parked it, put a cover over the trailer and brought the battery indoors so it wouldn't freeze.

Took cover off recently, put battery charger on battery for a couple of days. Put battery back in trailer, with proper connection. Extended the slides, all lights seemed to work. Couple days later nothing was working. Trailer is 50amp, I have it on 30 amp here at home. Receptacles all work but no lighting. Placed battery charger back on battery and I have lights and slides work.

Is this a battery issue, convertor issue, convertor fuses? If convertor where is it located? I replaced a 15 amp fuse on the fuse panel in the "interior zone 2" location.

Any feedback appreciated.

Any other fuses blown?
What is the voltage across the battery when AC is plugged in?
What is the voltage across the battery when AC is NOT plugged in?
Does the battery have water?
Battery switch Key turned on?
When you turn on all of the 12 volts lights do you hear the fan on the converter speed up?
Have you installed a separate battery disconnect?
Are you level?

Last one does not matter, jut threw it in there cause I could

I did not find any other fuses that were blown. Yes the battery switch key is on. The battery is sealed. I turned on all the lights ,didn't hear anything. The trailer is stock, nothing added to it.

Take your battery out and go and have it load tested. Sounds like your battery is toast.

Let me start off by saying I don't know where the converter is located in your particular model. I believe your problem is indeed the converter and here is why
1) Even with the battery disconnect switch in the off position your converter will run all the 12V electrical components in your unit including the fridge which even on AC requires DC to operate the controls. The converter however will not run the slides on it's own.
2) When you have a charged battery your DC lights are working therefore the battery disconnect switch must be in the correct position. This fact also points at the converter which may not be charging the battery (converter not working)
There are 3 reasons the converter may not be working.
1) The AC breaker that supplies the converter has tripped, therefore no power to converter.
2) The Reverse Polarity fuses in the converter have blown due to incorrect hooking up of the battery in which case you would get no DC output from the converter.
3) The converter simply is not functioning properly. (most unlikely case)
Trouble Shooting:
1) Find your converter and confirm you have AC voltage going to it.
2) Confirm the reverse polarity fuses are not blown. These are separate from the rest of the DC fuses.
3) Make sure connections are all tight in the converter.
If the above are OK then I would suggest you will likely have to replace the converter.
Good luck, let us know your findings.

Thank you, this was been my line of thinking, I just need to find the convertor. I appreciate all the feedback.

Just guessing but the most logical place for your converter would be in the area that you changed the 12V fuse.

I think you will find the converter behind the back wall of the basement by the stairs. You then get to see how the sausage was made by looking back there.

Can I access that through one of the louvered risers on my stairs. I have looked in the basement and the only thing I readily see there is a raised area that starts at the landing gear electrical and goes to the floor, guess this is a cover for those wires, looks to be about 8 or 10 screws holding it on.

Could the convertor be behind the circuit breaker panel?

Look behind the breaker panel which also has the 12v fuses. I am quite sure that is where you will find it.

Just pulled the circuit breaker panel, no convertor behind it. I think I will remove the raised partition in the basement to see if it is in there.
