2018 Utah Spring Rally Volunteers Needed

As the Spring Rally time approaches, it’s success is always contingent upon the wonderful volunteers attending the event. I am starting a sign-up sheet for several of the events. If you would like to volunteer and host or help with that event or have some new ideas, please sign-up. For you new attendees, a host will normally sign-up, then post details/rules about the event in a separate thread/post. You can sign on and/or add comments then.

UPDATE # 1. - 3/15. - Times approaching fast now with 3 months to go. We still need volunteers and assistance volunteers. Feel free to sign up to host or help with any of the events.

UPDATE # 2 - 4/22 - We still need volunteers in a few categories. And for you volunteers already hosting events, you may need to start a thread asking for additional help and/or supplies. A good example would be the Baggie Breakfast - hint, hint which still needs a volunteer coordinator.

UPDATE # 3 - 5/3 - We now have all of our volunteer event host positions filled. Some of these positions will need additional volunteers, so feel free to let them know you are able to help out, either here or at the rally event. And thank you to the volunteer hosts whom are joining us for the first time. If there's any information needed, supplies needed, or just want to update us what's happening, either post a question or PM me and I will get back to you asap.

We are first timers and would be willing to assist where ever needed. We can help with the Pot Luck or possibly the Movie Night.

Suggestion for a Local Tour: Birding field trip with a guide at Bear River Bird Refuge in Heber City. Greg and Linnea Banialis will be happy to arrange the details if this seems like a good idea. The refuge has guides for groups. Let me know if you would like to proceed with this. Many thanks.

Greg and Linnea, first of all, thanks for volunteering for the meet-n-greet and a birding field trip. I know almost nothing about birding except you need a good pair of binoculars and wear a hat with a rear neck flap. It might be time to learn more. I'm sure other folks would join in too.

Kristi and I just returned a couple of days ago from Mexico where we camped for 5 weeks on the beach. The down side is we had lousy to almost no internet so I'm a little behind in Spring Rally Posts.

I will update our rally schedule soon so we can actually have dates established to do our events. I will PM you with additional info.

Marilyn & I will do the morning poker walk. Can you get us a preliminary schedule when available so we can work around other activities. Normally we do 5 mornings but if there are conflicts, we can do 4.

If another couple would like to pitch in, let us know.

White Elephant Gift Exchange

It is not too early to start thinking about the Rally. For the White Elephant Gift Exchange, find an RV or RV useful themed item. I am stitching one right now on my embroidery machine. It will need to be wrapped or in a bag. Thieves will be welcomed as we open the gifts. I am ready to go.

Baggie Breakfast - It Is Easy

I see there is still a need for a volunteer to organize the Baggie Breakfast. This fun event pretty much runs itself and would be an easy job for any member. Post a signup sheet (see the sample Here) with the different needs and watch the support you will get. All that is needed is someone to step up and say "I can do this!!!"

Hi Carl. I've been away from the forum for a while. My wife (Shari), her sister(Lori) and myself(Mike) will be glad to help out with the Baggie Breakfast. We have never done this, so will need some experienced hands. Help us to get started.

Alta and I are willing to host the movie night. However, we do not have a DVD projector. Does anyone have one?

Problem solved. The clubhouse has a big screen TV. Watch for a new thread concerning movie night on Thursday evening.
