Check out John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park: http://pennekamppark.com/
We stayed 3 months as the Camp Host and loved the area. Less expensive that any of the private RV parks and has all of the amenities plus glass-bottom boats, snorkeling trips etc...
Also, be sure to spend time in Islamorada.
Welcome!

Don't know where you are originally coming from with your RV, but camping fees and available space could be an issue right now all down through the keys.
We are camped for 4 months up around Ft Myers. We ride our Harley down to Café 27, Everglade City, and the Chokoloskee area all the time. We are also planning a motorcycle trip for a few days down to Key West. We found it easier to locate a motel room somewhere in the middle keys this time of year rather than a CG.
Just an idea. You may want to plan/price both ways.

If you are retired Military you can also stay in Key West at the Navy Lodge on NAS Key West. They also have an RV park, but it stays full this time of year. We have stayed at the Lodge several times and it is very nice and close to everything. Also, don't miss the Dry Tortugas trip. It truly is worth the money. DW loves to dive and she had a blast snorkeling and diving the Tortugas - sea turtles, huge conch, lots of beautiful fish.
Another place we love, which is not far from the keys is the Broward County Parks. There are several and the RV sites are large, clean, and well maintained.
Have fun.
