Hello, I'm new to MOC and my wife and I are looking forward to going full time living in a Montana in 2016, after I retire from Boeing. I am a retired USAF CMSgt, 1968-1995, Vietnam error vet and desert storm Vet. Spent time in USAFE, PACAF, and HQ MAC and HQ SAC. Worked on F-4s, Kc-135, C-5, C-130s, B-1B and B-2. As an Acquisition Team member I helped Boeing Win the KC-46 Contract and performed Design for Supportability on all the maintenance tasks. We would appreciate any and all guidance you can provide, on living full time in a Montana. I'll do my best to get familiar with the issues, problems and suggestions currently on the forum.

Thank you!

After reading all of this thread, thank you all for your service. Regretfully, I never served. I did not come to appreciate the sacrifice until later in life and I have had that luxury because of those that have served.

My dad served in the Navy in the Pacific during WWII, mostly on Guam. He was among the thousands training to invade Japan when they dropped the bomb. He passed 3 yrs ago at age 92.

My father-in-law was Army ‘42-‘45, saw action in Italy, was wounded and taken as a POW in April ‘45 until it ended. I read a book about the mission of his division. He’s been gone since 1980.

My DW and I appreciate you all, and give thanks every day for the public servants that keep us safe.

USAF 75-98 Retired as a MSGT then another Civil Service career. Now retired/retired in the panhandle of Florida after a lifetime of working for the government. I would do it all over in a minute.
