Hidden Compartment?

We were talking the other night with some other Montana owners and the subject came up about the infamous "hidden compartment" in the bedroom area of the unit. Well it ended with my wife and her sister going through the bedroom with a fine tooth comb and then finally coming out and telling us that it is a myth and that we sent them on a snipe hunt! I do remember reading somewhere on here that some people claimed that they found the small hidden areas in there units. Please let me know if anyone has ever found this "hidden area" so that I can redeem myself and my claim before we leave Canada for our trip home next week.
Thanks

Only certain models had them , our old 3400 had compartments atop and beside the bedroom window, our new 3750 has no compartments.

Ours is Left end panel of the dresser. Press in on the end board near the top. And the entire left end swings open. Some older models had hollow window valances. You reach up on the top of the box, and the top board lifts up.

restez, from what I have read on here I think they are only on the Montana's, not the Mountaineers.

Have a "compartment" in our 2010 3400...given that you can see pictures of it online and read about it in numerous places, it can hardly be classified as "hidden!"

On ours the right side panel of the bedroom window opens. And there is a removable panel on top of the bedroom window.

They did this for a while. Mine is above the valance of the dresser surrounding the window. If you are short, and can't see the top of the wood, then reach up and run your hand left to right of the valance and if you find an oblong opening, just reach in, pull up and the cover should pop right off. Also, on the right framing of this same wood, there is a lip of wood that you can grasp and swing outward. The second compartment is here and mine has hooks that we can hang keys or other skinny objects.

I think that now that these aren't so hidden anymore they are doing away with them. No sense in calling them hidden if the internet is so willing to expose them. It seems this would just provoke surly characters to break in just to see whatchagot.

Let us know if you find some and where they're located... LOL. Then they'll be our secret, too. LOL.

Restez,
OK we have the "secret" and "hidden" safe. Actually it is not very hidden and I guess therefore not very secret. We have the older model 3295 that has the split bedroom floor. From the bathroom to the bedroom you have to step up. They built a little safe in the step. Dennis

Bingo, When the dealer showed me a 3750 in Mesa, he showed me a hidden compartment. Maybe you should keep looking. He swore me to secrecy......

Look in the bedroom in the cabinet to the right of the closet on the right wall. A panel of wood put your fingers on top and pull away from wall. Surprise!!!

Guess I have some investigating to do, did an internet search because I though Phil was pulling my leg and lo and behold, there is supposed to be a hidden compartment. Guess I will be looking at the rally next week. Larry, are you referring to the 3750 in your post?? If so are you specifically talking inside of the closet or on the exterior framing. Daggone it, now the curiosity is going to keep me awake at night until Wednesday!!! Cough it up Phil, I need my sleep!!

Hope ya find it Bingo!
Maybe there will be a roll of money in it where Summit left you a surprise rebate (lol) … ah don’t hold your breath I kind of doubt it! When we bought our first Montana the sales lady left a wad of money in our safe but that was a different RV dealer at the time. Oh BTW it was play money, she left it for Brigette to find. Thought it was a great gesture on her part!
