Dining Room Table
Just finished up the new dining room table this past weekend and it sure turned out nice. After fighting with Keystone to replace the dining room table with no success I finally broke down and built a new one. It wasn't too bad as I used all the mounting hardware off the old one and just replaced the top and leaf. I used 15/16ths oak and planed down to 3/4 inch. I glued and bisquit jointed every 4 inches so I don't think I will have any more trouble with the table splitting apart like the other one did. After sanding, staining and 4 coats of semi gloss Minwax Verithane it looks beautiful. You would never know it was changed, the Early American stain was a perfect match. Then I took the old table top and ripped it on the glue joints that were mostly all failing and I am going to make a few cutting boards for the wife. Make everyone happy!

Sounds like you did a fantastic job!
It would be good if when you post the pictures you could
show the old table top and what was wrong with it.

One of the last trips, before the warranty expired, I made to the dealer for warranty repairs they had to repair my freestanding table. All the fasteners were loose, the leafs would not pull out or stow properly, and the base was so loose the top would move 6 inches back and forth. It is useable now but I can see this project in my future. Post some pictures.
