Pendant lights over island keep blowing

I've replaced at least 4 in one year. Is this normal? Same circuit as the door switch. Fuse has blown and I've replaced it. Any ideas?

maybe a staple through a 12v wire that goes to ground with vibrations, other idea on the fuse blowing,is it underated for all the lights on that circut? could also be a bad door switch

Do not, however, increase the size of the existing 15 amp DC fuse because our 5ers use 14 gauge wire and the IOTA distribution panel does not recommend higher either.

I would measure the voltage at the light..each one, usually with a low voltage, or poor connection you would notice a difference in brightness, or a dimming when other loads are put on that circuit.
If the lights are burning out, it may be a bad connection, or improper bulb for the socket, both of these are inter-related. If the fuse blew, I would go with improper bulb or shorting out the socket with improper insertion: dead short.
Hope that give you fodder for investigation, and not just a headache from reading it..
