Mission Tire Replacement question

Our trailer came with the MISSION brand 225/75R15 Load Range D (2540lbs at 65 psi). The feedback I've heard on the forum are that these are not expected to last much more than 12k. I am looking to replace these and had done a bit of googling around and found the most positive reviews were staying at a 15" rim (after Titan which was subsequently sold to a Chinese co.) were the Cooper Customer Trailer Plus ST225/75R15. Has anyone had any experiences with these tires or other suggestions?

When we got our 335RLBS, it had Tires on it that gave me a bad feeling. There "MAXXIS" made in Taiwan. Well I didn't run out and buy new ones, I thought I'd wait awhile. I now have about 25,000 mi on them and there doing great. If I needed new tires I would have to put them in the mix. Just to be on the safe side I went to Discount Tire and bought a Tire warranty for them.

Happy Camping

I was just wondering if anyone else had those "MAXXIS" tires. So do we on our 2002 2955RL. We have 35000 miles on the trailer and the tires look as good as new. I have been wondering if I should replace them just because of age, but the treads are just as even as in the beginning.

I keep the pressure at 65 just as posted on the RV.

Guess I'm tempting fate to post this message!

Padre, I think the conventional wisdom is to replace them at 6 to 7 years of age assuming no serious weather checking on the sidewalls and the tread is ok. Someone posted awhile back how to find the codes to tell you when your tires were manufactured. You'd need to know that to get actual age. Maybe they'll post it again. If not, a web search might be in order. I'd guess you're well under 6 years on yours though.
