Removing two recliners chairs

I was wondering how does one remove two recliners chairs from 2006 3500RL? It appears to be too big for the door frame.

If they are like my originals were the back comes off. Look for the hidden latches on the back right inside the arms on the chair. Release the latches, I think they pull down, then lift up on the backs. If you can't find the latches just put the chair in recline position and two people can carry it out the door. Hope this helps, Jim

Our backs do not come off. I removed the base just remove 4 bolts makes it a lot easer to handle. Ours are swivel recliners

I put our chairs in the reclined position and they went through the door, did not have to remove anything.

We did the same thing and found that the mechanism weighed almost as much as the rest of the recliner. My only other advice is to watch out for pinch points. I almost lost a finger taking ours apart (slight exaggeration )

Two big guys and we just horsed the old ones out and bigger new ones in. Laid them on their sides and then went thru the door in kind of a U shaped motion.

We just did ours took the old out sideways in the reclined position and took 2 full size recliners in the same way...just the swivel ones are a little awkward with that base...
