Tire Pressure Monitor (not pressure pro)

Someone recently had posted an alternative tire pressure monitoring system other than the pressure pro system. Anyone remember it and it's name and website link??? Gotta have one this year since we are still on the Missions.

Try truckerspartstore.com they have a system listed that also tracks tire temp.

At http://www.rv.net/forums/index.cfm/f...g/1/page/4.cfm there are a few guys that have purchased the TPMS from the www.truckerspartstore.com and will be posting once they get their units up and operational. I am waiting for their reports before I order ours. I really like the look and features of this system, but I don't know anyone who has one to see how it works. This is a brand new system for them.

Keep us informed Fire5er. Appreciate the info, I am looking at a late April - June purchase time frame. Need something before the 10 hour pull to Myrtle at the end of July.

I purchased one of these on 02/10/08. I got the 10 tire unit. That way I can have one on my spare tires or I can use it if I had duals. Just in case I get a 3500 truck. Not really planning on it but you just never know. I think it would also be easier to sell in case I ever wanted to sell it. Haven't received a ship date as of yet. (02/15/08} They may be back ordered.....JB

JB,
That is the exact one I am looking at. If you don't mind telling us, how much did the entire unit set you back. We will also appreciate your review as well of the product when you get it installed. I really like the temperature monitoring function as I (personal opinion here folks) feel that is the primary cause of tire failure!!

Hey Bingo… I ordered the 10-wheel SAF-TTE TPMS on 28 Jan 2008 from www.truckerspartstore.com at a base price of $489.00 plus $17.35 S/H for a total of $506.30. I checked their Website the very next day and noticed that the same system went on sale. I called them right away and found they had already honored the lower price and had turned in a credit to my VISA for $90.70, resulting in a delivered-to-my-door total cost of $415.60. I checked their Website again today and it looks like the 10-wheel unit is going for $439.00 + S/H. Maybe another opportunity will come along for even greater savings. Alas, the TPMS hasn’t yet arrived as of yesterday so I can’t comment on quality of workmanship or ease of installation. Happy campin’ Guy

I have put my request in to the banker (DW), we'll see if I can negotiate clearance for purchase expenditure. (This is the opportune time for Carol to chip in that if I had gotten her Diamonds for Valentines, clearance would be instantaneous!!)

Got rid of the Mission tires today. Bought 5 Michelin XPS RIB tires.
Next is a tire monitoring system. Please update us if you like the TPMS Monitoring System. I am going to the Houston RV show tomorrow and we are going to look for tire monitors. I like the TPMS because of the temp. monitor. Look forward to an update!
