Water pump

Our campgrounds turned off the water today. We already had the fresh water tank filled, so no problem.
Now this evening, periodically, the water pump kicks on for a very short burst then turns off. (without an attempt to run water.)
I suspect there is a pressure leak somewhere, but how should I proceed to track it down?
Thanks
Dave

If you do not have any water leaks they the only other place is a lose of pressure at the water pump.

I winterized today and our pump seemed to do the same thing.

How often is periodically? Ours will pump every once in a while, but not much. It could be a slight leak or the check valve in the pump

It doesn't take much to make the water pump kick in ... it just has to reach a low pressure threshold .. then it runs till it reaches the upper threshold where it kicks off. Two things can be happening here.
1) You have a faulty sensor in your pump 2) You have a leak
A small leak (like a drip every 5 seconds) can still cause pump cycling. I'm betting that you'll find a small drip leak (eventually). Look in the obvious places 1st ... toilet, under the sinks, pump connections, shower. Even a drip at the shower will cause this. Good luck and let us know what you find.

We have the same thing happen from time to time and have always found that there was a faucet that was dripping.

Good luck.

Look at the check valve on the shore water. If you recently removed the water hose it may not be seated perfect allowing it to seep out just a bit.
