CONVERTER PROBLEMS
We have arrived in Gulf Shores Ala.and discovered that our batteries are very low. Changed the fuse in the TV for the charging circuit but the converter is not doing its job while in shore power. It is putting out 14.3 vtsand operates all the 12volt stuff but not charging the batteries. Is there an in line fuse somewhere for the charging circuit? Also the converter fan has not come on today even tho the12 volt lights were drawing full power. 2008 3605. Maybe I'll have to buy a new one at Quartzite.

John,
Check the Disconnect key in the convenience center. Turn the key clockwise. If the key can be removed, the power to the battery is off.

How old are your batteries? Have they ever been used to the point that they dropped to 10.5 volts? If so, they may be bad and not able to hold a charge.
In our 2009 we have the battery disconnect but that is from the batteries to the 12 volt distribution panel. The converter in our unit is directly connected to the batteries.
Check the specific gravity of your batteries. Check the voltage at your batteries, connected and disconnected. That will give you a good starting point in diagnosing what is wrong.
And, yes, there are two reverse polarity fuses in the converter that may have blown.
Good luck!

Bought 2 new deep cycle batts and the same problem. Also bought a 2and 6 amp charger. I then disconnected the converter and am currently using the charger to keep the batts up. at Quartzite I will purchase a new converter.

It does sound like you have a charging problem, but before you spend the money on that new converter, check the charging voltage with a meter at the batteries to insure you are, or are not getting that 14 volts there. If you checked the charger and it is generating 14.3 volts...
This link is pretty good:

Good luck and let us know.
