Samsung Residential Fridge
Figured I'd ask here first. Have the Samsung RF18HFENBSR fridge. The freezer stopped freezing, stays about the same temp as the fridge part. I have to reset the "eyebrow" panel daily. Anyone have any reference material or ideas on what to look at first? The "manual" it came with is worthless. I'll call in a repair if I get desperate.

I had a Samsung refrigerator in our home. The repair shops I called wouldn’t work on them. They all said they couldn’t get parts to fix them just get a new refrigerator. So I did. You can Google the repair you need and may or probably find some help. My refrigerator was like you described the repair manual worthless. Get another refrigerator, one from an American company. By law they haft to supply repair parts. Not so with foreign companies, so says the Applance company I bought our new refrigerator from.

Well, this is a mystery. We've been using just the fridge portion until we can fix or replace the unit. I opened it yesterday morning and its a miracle, the freezer is at -2. Same today. So, I guess if one procrastinates long enough, some things will self heal.

Aren't some of the Samsung Fridges a Dual compressor system? One for the Fridge section and one for the Freezer? I know I've seen an add that was listing a dual system, but don't know beans about them as we have a Whirlpool in our SOB.

I believe this one is. It says Twin-cooling inside. When I tried to diagnose what was wrong with it, I found it seems to have two of everything that could go wrong. Anyway, keeping my fingers crossed.

That's what I was told also. My guy said buy Whirlpool, GE or Frigidaire, in any order.
