Iota ITS-50R transfer switch Problem?

A few months back my inverter got fried. No reason that I could figure out, fortunately still under warranty so replaced for 1 way shipping. My set up is shore power/solar battery bank with the transfer switch automatically changing over. Yesterday I used the solar batteries to check out hookups. When switching back to shore power the switch acted strangely why? Goggled Iota and they no longer have the switch and I saw that there was a recall on them by keystone and other rv mfgs. Evidently they were overheating and causing fires. My guess is relay contacts arcing and sticking, cause of inverter frying up.
Any info on this sough? mikey

I think the recall was for the connections not being properly torqued. If the connections are properly torqued (not sure of value) then I do not believe there is a problem. Of course, total replacement peace of mind is relatively inexpensive.

I got the recall and did the replacement my self only to find the new replacement switch was no good. After going back and forth with the replacement brand they saw it my way and the new switch works perfect. Peace of mind is a great thing.

I believe the new models have Progressive Dynamics Automatic Transfer Switches. An internet search will reveal many suppliers.

Ok just got back from my unit that has the replacement switch provided by Keystone it's a WFCO model T-57 works fine and is a direct replacement. It is not hard to change out if it's a good location hope this helps you.

OurS was recalled twice in the 2010, and we just received a third recall which we took to CW.

. Our tech said that some had evidence of overheating. I'm not sure about the brand. I'm not at work as DW is in hospital, or I would ask.

the overheat can be from loose connections or bad contacts
