STORAGE UNDER REFRIGERATOR
Well, today I did it....I removed the panel under the refrigerator, added hinges and now have access for extra storage. What I would really like to do is use that space for wine storage Has anybody else out there done this (using it for wine storage) and if so, could you post some photos or give me some ideas?
Jack

We did the same with the under fridge storage and use it for large cookie sheets, trays and casserole dish - things to large for the other drawers.

We also put a hinged door under the fridge right after we purchased our Monty new. Presently using it for common storage. Works great.

I have a few pictures I'll post them in a few under the oven and frig. I'll be back.
On Edit the pictures, the doors I just cut a piece of Oak and put hinges on them, I was to lazy to set up the shaper and cur the stiles and rails. I'll do it when I feel the urg of to get out of the house and go into my cave.

Great minds think alike, Jack! That was my exact intention when I did this mod in September. I have just not followed through with the rack portion of it yet. We were on the road for 6 weeks out to the Fall Rally and back, and I have not done much to the 5er since we landed back home. This weeks project is a new wood stove in the stick house, so the Montana is waiting for its turn later in December. I have several projects that are in process on the Montana, I just have to "get on the stick", as it were.
Let me know what you have come up with so far for a wine rack, I haven't given it too much serious thought yet.

Ours looks exactly like TT's. You can get at least 100 lbs of junk under there.

Ours looks the same too....I figure I can get at least 5-6 bottles of wine in there. I'm kicking around a couple of ideas on how to best stow it (the wine ) I don't damage it in transit

Was your propane detector mounted on that panel? (as mine is)
If so, what did you do with it?
Thanks

Ours is mounted on the short portion of the "L-shaped" kitchen island near the floor by the oven. The only thing I had to do under the refrigerator was secure some wiring over to the side.

Thanks - guess I could just relocate it beside the opening - I like the idea of that storage area
