LED lighting
I know this has been around once or twice, but here we go again. I have 4 different 12V bulbs in my Big Sky. Bayonet (4), mini wedge (13), G4-10 watt halogen (5), and G4-20 watt halogen (11) for a total of 33 bulbs. I have been looking at Super Bright LED, Inc. and find the price tag is a wallet choker, about $400.
For those of you that have made the switch and have had them awhile, - Are you satisfied with the quality of lighting LEDs provide?
- Would you do it again?
- Have you found better pricing for quality LEDs elsewhere?

Take a look at the following website ( www.prudentrver.com).
I have been replacing my lights with these:
(W9.RV3N - 12ea - 200-lumen natural white LED - 155.76
replacement (3,800K, CR90) for brighter wedge bulbs in 12v
light fixtures - uses 2.9 watt in 10v to 30v range)
Love them!

Stiles,
Not all LED's are made the same and some of the cheap ones have a short life. I have no idea of the quality coming from prudentrver, they may be very good, but the ones from super bright have a pretty good track record with MOC members that have bought from them

I agree with the price shocker no matter where you buy. I've been changing out a few at a time, from CW, like the ones we use the most. One over the sofa, one in the bedroom ceiling and the three over the vanity, plus installed some LED strip lites over our counter. Love them and so does the batteries when dry camping, much, much less current draw. Well continue to change them a few at a time, but we don't have the combination of bulbs that you do.
One note I would like to add: We installed some fixtures we purchased at Lowes and installed the 12V CFLs made by Camco, the two in the back over the chairs have failed with only 1 or 2 hours of run time (for almost 10 bucks a pop, you would think they would last a little longer). Have an e-mail into Camco and CW with no response from either, so I would beware of them.

I just put 4 sets of double lights and they are the white light for brighter light (Being Old as I am) they are pricy but the amp draw is very low.I got mine from this manufacture below I have many more to do slow process. all the old lights I will install in the basement area for better lighting down there.

I'm looking at these. I can replace the entire unit for cheaper than I can buy the bulbs and they are functionally expandable (night light, motion sensor, etc.) http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Brill...item3a638195da

CORattler, thanks for the URL. If it were me, I might buy one and compare it to what I have before buying a batch of them. I noticed "no return" policy. Luminescence is a key issue for me. I noticed that as you get brighter the price goes up significantly, another reason to check it out before a major investment is made.
These will not work for me on the Big Sky. All my ceiling lighting is in the form of single recessed light fixtures rather than the dual fixtures shown. But, if all is as you wish, it would work well for dual bulb fixture replacements.

Stiles,
Good thinking regarding buying one to try 1st. The output is 300 lumens for each fixture. (150 x 2)

Stiles the ones I posted have a much higher lumens each @ 252 each
WARM white - 3150K
18 LEDs each side
Cool operating temperature
252 Lumens for each LED unit, 504 Lumens total
The price is comfortable to a point they do cover the OEM fixture well and have a three way switch 1 = both center is off and 3 = one light. the single light is on off.
~.4 amp
5.2 watt
11.4"L x 4.7 "W x 1.7"D
39,95 plus S&H

Good site TT. Even though I can't use the Dual lights you high lighted, they have others I can look into.

Don,
I like that those fixtures can select either 1 or 2 lights to be illuminated. That's a good find!
