As long as installation is correct, good to go

Keep in mind that you might raise the overall clearance height of your unit with the installation. Be sure and measure your height after so that you don't encounter a nasty surprise somewhere down the road!

It depends on the year of your camper. Looking at your signature if you have a 2001 the answer is no to both questions.

I think their truck is a 2001, the Montana 2955RL is listed as a 1996 model. As Montana didn't come in existence until 1998/1999 and the OP states it has a two zone thermostat (which early models did not have), it is impossible to answer the thermostat question.

As for connecting to the ducting it depends. Early models did not have ducting for the bedroom A/C. A unit installed in that location merely "dumped" into the bedroom. The latest and greatest models do have dual ducting which incorporates the bedroom A/C.

Without know the exact year of the trailer, it is hard to provide a definitive answer.

P.S. to mccclay - I am in Carmichel if you need help figuring this out.

On our 2007 the ducting did enter the bedroom, but it was not connected to the prepped area for the second ac. The prep did not provide a thermostat control wire to the area either. I don't believe that any units prior to that did either, but I may be wrong.

2006 will have to be a freeblowing ceiling unit. Unless you want to do custom work to tie in to the ductwork.
