Arizona sunshine Hot...

In the afternoon, the outside temperature is 89, sun directly on the Montana, no shade, got up to 94 inside, so we turned the A/C on.
Sue came outside where I was waxing the truck and told me she didn't think the A/C (only one, 15,000 BTU, back of Monte) was working, so I gave the the electronic thermometer, told her to check the supply air and the return air.
59 degrees, the return air...space air was 87.
I told her that it was pedaling as fast as it could, and working right.
Fan on high.

We have a second A/C upstairs, a 15,000 BTU, if it gets real hot, we crank both of them on.
I hate the noise, wish I had a mini-split on the trailer, I may end up installing one. We have one in the bedroom, so quiet, we can't hear it..almost.

Really hot weather makes those ACs work hard. Makes that second AC a nice to have option. We switch back and forth so they dont run continously for long periods of time.

Where I camp I have to run two 15,000 BTUs wide open most of the time to stay cool. When the front one went out last year the single one couldn't do it alone. I wasted no time in getting it replaced. Camping in an oven is not much fun.

If we only need one A/C and it's not too hot, here's what we do:

- If we are in the LR, we run the bedroom A/C with a fan blowing into the LR.

- If we are in the BR, we run the LR A/C with a fan blowing toward the BR.

Don't worry, it went back to normal weather this last weekend. 60's and 70's in the daytime and 40's at night. Accuweather says it will stay that way for the next two weeks. Of course there is that chance of strong storms almost everyday.

Check this out. I'm leaning towards putting one of these in my front A/C prewired vent.

The 75% humidity threshold would not allow it to work in the SouthEast.

Whoa! That would be awsome. It is about half the cost of an A/C unit and if you are in a dry climate it is usable with only your 12 volt battery(s) and a water source.

Frank, that is funny, as Sue and I were trying to think where we would put one here in the Monte. I installed a Mitsubishi (a mini-split) in our bedroom at home, I love them. I'm actually a Daikin dealer, but got a rally good buy on the Mitsi.... so bought it. Quiet, reliable, I love them.
Do you have one?
