Awning sticking

I have a 2008 mountaineer. The left side of the awning is sticking on top. The only way to open the awning is by climbing not h e l adder and prying it with a screw driver. Any ideas on what the hold up is.thanks Marvin

Had the same problem with ours. The arm by the door would always stick and i would have to raise the arm and then yank it out. Was told that the awning material probably moved on the roller causing it to bind. With the awning open, try and see if you can move the material to realign it.If that does not work, go on the roof and remove the two screws holding the awning in place in the rail. Then try and slide the awning to realign it. By closing and opening the awning it should realign it's self. Worked for us.

2008, assume manual. If you have been tying the awning down, depending on how you do that, that can cause the tube to bind and not roll up properly. Has happened to us, no fix I could come up with other than to get on a ladder and push the tube into the locked mode. Hopefully other ideas offered on the forum will solve your issue.
