air mattress

I have a 3665 RE Montana fifth wheel and until now I have really enjoyed it. I am now having a problem with my air mattress. It has a slow leak. I can't detect it. So, I got a new one from the place I bought my trailer aand that one leaks. What can I do? I called the RV Outlet in Danville Va and they said they would refund my money. Any suggestions?

Can't help much on this one. We took the whole crappy sofa out and put real furniture in.

Where are you storing the mattress when you fold up the bed? If you are leaving it strapped to the bed frame it is most likely getting pinched when you fold it up. There were so many claims to Flair Interiors about this they now advise users to fold and store the air mattress in the protective bag they now provide.

Mine has developed a slow leak twice in nearly 5 years. Both times it was on a crease on the top surface (on the fuzzy like surface) where the mattress folded when put away. I could not hear it. But my little granddaughters could. Much better hearing I guess. When they pointed it out to me, I could see it was actually a very short slit, maybe 1/8", where the thing folded each time it was put away.
First I tried a vinyl patch kit. But it would not adhere to the fuzzy surface. Then I remembered I had a hot glue gun. I deflated the mattress, flattened out that area, put some hot glue on the spot, let it cool and harden, and it never leaked again (from that spot). The next year I had another similar leak from a similar type folding crease. Again the hot glue gun did the trick. No leaks last year.
A little soapy water on a tightly inflated mattress would probably show the leak and you could try the hot glue gun approach. Cheaper than a new mattress that may also leak after a couple years.
I do leave mine strapped to the frame when put away. But the leaks were on the top flat surface.
