Manual switches

Our Manual switches for the front landing gear and rear stabilizers stopped working at the same time. The only way to get them up or down is with the remote. I checked all fuses and looked for reset buttons. Does anyone have any ideas for me....

Check the control board for the remote, maybe a relay or fuse. It should time out and go to manual mode. Kerry

Ours isn't new enough to have the remote so I am flying blind. On the manual switches, are there screws you can remove to pull out the switch? Or maybe they pry out. I'm wondering if there is a bad connection on the switch. Might be worth a look.

Since both quit, it may be there is one hot lead shared between the switches? Or perhaps there is an inline fuse somewhere? Maybe near the battery?

Had same problem today where the remote worked and switches did not. Moved the connector behind switches and they started to work. Any later updates on this would be appreciated. Also where are the fuses for the landing gear motors on a 2009 3455?

I helped a guy with the remote in Pocatello, his would not work at all, I found a cartridge 20 amp fuse blown that feeds the remote. It is in a plastic fuse cover right before the remote receiver. There are two blade-type fuses on the receiver.
Now, his would not work with the switch either, so if yours works with the remote, and not the switch, I don't know. You might kill the power to it, then try it again. Are you positive the blade fuses are good?
I just have the Zaxis I put on, my '07 didn't have the remote, like Steve's.

Hi

Our 2009 did the same thing. I found the remote receiver was built using #12 wire for the connection from the manual switches. This size wire is too small for the load of the front jack/ legs/ landing gear (or what ever you want to call them). Mine burned up so I removed it and properly fused each of the four units that are tied to the remote receiver.

Some of the people here have had luck by discounting the battery lead to the remote and let it set for a minuet or so before hooking it back up and that seems to make it work again. Mine was smoked so that didn’t work.
