Converter running

Question MHC 310RE 2017
Trailer has been at Dealer for the last 2 weeks, got it home today plugged it in and converter came on I’m guessing the battery’s are not fully charged as it sat in the lot not being plugged in. The panel says battery’s are full but this can’t be accurate.will the converter shut off after battery’s are charged?

It well the panel light is not all that great the only way to tell if the batteries are fully charged is with meter or a battery hydrometer.

When you are plugged into shore power, and the converter is working, the panel will show the battery as being fully charged. That is because the converter in supplying 13.4 volts to the battery. The panel meter sees that as being more than the 12V it expects, therefore the battery must be full.

The panel reading is only somewhat accurate once shore power has been removed for a while.

Our daughter’s converter was running all the time so she switched out all her lights to LEDs. They were drawing too much power. That fixed the problem.
