Clogged gray water line

What is a safe way go unclog a gray water line? Can you use Draino or something like it?

Seems an RV product tank additive like Digest-it would work if left in the system for a day or two?

Snake it if you can get it to head the right way. I dunno if you are talking about from the sink to the tank or from the tank to the dump valve.

You may have a bad Dump Valve!

I am curious as to why you think it is clogged. The only reason I ask is because some people have thought they had a clogged grey tank when actually they did not know they had two grey tanks and were not pulling both handles.

On these RVs don't try and Snake a Clog from the drain side. They do not use a typical "P" or "S" trap, instead they use a straight section with a rubber flap or tube type devise that lets water pass through but is support to suppress reverse gases.
If you use a snake you'll destroy that devise and end up with unwanted ordors in the Rig.

Although a good point to bring up ... the HepvO waterless p-trap mentioned above is only used on the shower (at least on my fiver) ... under your bath and kitchen sink is a regular p-trap just like in your stick house. If your galley grey tank is the one you think is clogged ... it has it's separate dump valve just like Bill mentioned earlier. It's usually located about midway in your frame's I-Beam either behind or in front of your axles street side.

Which Hepvo Valve?

I am preparing to replace the Hepvo valve , just recently discovered that there are two sizes available. 1 1/2 inch and 1 1/4 inch.

I would like to order the correct one, your expert advice is solicited.

Try backflushing it. There have been reports of cut out getting lodged on tank drain opening

Just had this happen, baking soda and vinegar did the trick.
