Tranny

Has any one ever used the synthic blend tranny fluid? I have the 4r100 in my 99 f250 ps. Thinking of going to this to help with heat factor.

Yep,

Seems to be doing a fine job in my Dodge Tranny. I also use pure Syn. in the Engine and Rear Diff.

Happy Camping

I have not switched my tranny over to sny. yet, I will do so at the 50,000 mile fluid change. I do run syn. in the front and rear diffs and have not had any trouble with them at all. Running the syn. in the tranny will help it to run cooler and last longer, at least that is what my dealership tells me. That is going to be the next step for me, but wanted to get some good break in miles on the truck first.

Darrell, check with the Ford dealer. My '05 came from the factory with synthetic in the tranny and rearend. I think my '99 F350 did, too, but am not positive. Never had any heat problems with mine towing this same Montana.
