What size hitch

Need some help, I have a Drawtit slider 16k hitch that I pulled my old Couger with. Now have a new Montana 3650rk and don't know if a 16k is big enough.

I am not that familiar with Drawtite hitches. But a 16k hitch should be plenty strong enough to pull any Montana. Some will opt for larger ones to have more breathing room between the rated capacity and there own weight. But I don't know that I would run out and buy a larger one just because. I have a RBW hitch that I have had for 10 years. I haven't had any problems with it and don't feel the need to replace it until I see some signs of fatigue. When I do I might look at heavier ones but I have been satisfied with this one for now. Just my opinion, I'm sure others that have more experience with Drawtite may offer more information.

On edit: I wanted to add my hitch is only rated at 15k.

16k is more than 1600 pounds above the GVWR of any Montana and is plenty hitch for any Montana. Our hitch is a 15k and I have no qualms whatsoever about using it. Our Montana scales at 14,360.

I pull a 2004 Mountaineer 297 RKS 33 ft 5vr with a 15k hitch. I have a Dodge dually diesel,so I have lots of pulling power plus a good size trailer which my wife loads down with all her scrapbooking stuff, along with her viking sewing machine and all the stuff that goes with it.I have my truck up on my shop hoist and have been useing and indusrial crack check dye to look for stress cracks on my hitch and on the frame mounts so far I have found nothing to worry about.I have about 6000 miles on this hitch.
